 NUMBER OF TIERS
A One Tier shutter unit extends from the bottom of the opening to the top without a break. "Café Type" shutters are always One Tier. A Divider rail is a horizontal bar (rail) within a panel that creates top and bottom louver sections. It looks like the top rail and allows each section of louvers to rotate independently. See the Definitions page for a picture. A Two Tier unit has one set of shutters on the top and one on the bottom. Each tier of shutters opens independently of the other.
 DIVISION POINT
If "Number of Tiers" entry is:
"One tier without a divider rail": Enter "None."
"Single tier with a divider rail": The distance from the bottom of the window opening to the center of the divider rail.*
"Two tiers": The distance from the bottom of the window opening to the break between tiers.*
*The actual location may be higher or lower as much as 1/2 of the louver spacing.
